Have a noise in the axle of my 92 Toyota Corrola, need some opinions...Thanks?

So it sounds like a rotating squeak almost as though a brake pad is skidding on a warped rotor. When maintaining a speed of 15mph, that is when the noise sounds at its highest pitch. Still even when I let of of the accelerator, the noise persists just not so obviously. Im guessing its my CV joint or a bearing due to the fact that I know its coming from my axle and not the wheel or brakes. I note sure if this came about because the car is just 16 years old with a 115,000 or if its because I hit a pot hole back in the begining Feburary on the same side; hard enough that it put a dent in my rim and made a hole on the side of the tire. Either way though, I know its coming from the axle. So what do you think it is and how much do you think it will run me to fix? Any input would be great even though I know it would always be easier to tell if you could have gotten under the car like me to hear for yourself. Thanks!
