Why are all the television shows about ?

Have we degenerated so much as a society that the only thing people find funny these days is ? Every show, be it sit-com, soap opera, movie, reality show, they are all about . Last night on dancing with the stars a women was literally dancing in her underwear. Are we this uncouth as a culture that we can't enjoy the quality or technicality of a performance if a woman's navel is covered? And why does every sit-com revolve around random acts of , and friends with benefits? Do people really have friends with benefits? Are people so indignant and perverse that they would really go around sleeping with random men/women? Is Cougar town really a show? Cougar town? Might as well be called ***-street. Or Tart-ville. Or the Round-a-. Or the y-Way. Absolutely disgusting. Why aren't there any shows with wit? Someone please explain this to me.
