Do you think the implementation of law in India is same for everybody?

Following the 2008 Mumbai attacks, India is transforming its internal security architecture in a way that mirrors the U.S. response to 9/11. Indian Brigadier General Amrit Pal Singh, a serving Indian military officer currently on sabbatical at the University of Maryland, will present his findings from research examining the structure of homeland security in the U.S. and the emerging architecture in India. The study looks at how the threat from terrorism in each country has brought changes in the legal environments and in intelligence gathering and ysis techniques and organizational structures. Dr. James Carafano and Frank Cilluffo will comment on the study from their perspectives as two of the nation’s leading homeland security experts. We hope you can join us for this stimulating discussion that will also illuminate opportunities for the U.S. and India to work together in jointly addressing terrorism challenges.
