Fallout 3 alien blaster missing?

Ok I went to the alien crash site to get the alien blaster because I was gonna go get the t-51b power armor and figures the blasted would really help before heading over to fort Constantine but when I finally found the crash site I found the alien corpse 108 blaster ammo but NO BLASTER!!!!! Am I screwed or is there a second blasted somewhere or is there a way to still get the original one???
