HELP! PLEASE ** DOES MY EX WANT ME BACK***?

I dated this guy for 4 years, ( Freshman of HS- Freshman College) We recently started talking again like texting everyday and messaging each other on FB .. Its been about a year since i saw him and 2 years since we dated, he invited me up to his college to get away from my studying for a party he was going too, well i decided to go i drove the 45 min to his school and he took me out to dinner, we hung around watching the olympics and catching up then we went to the party .. i we both drank and ended up having in his dorm, we both knew what was going on because he asked if i was okay with this and he made sure that i wouldnt be upset if we did it.. ( he was my first way back when so it seemed okay, plus i still have feelings for him) So the next morning i had to go back to school.. he took me out to breakfast and walked me to my car kissing me goodbye saying he hopes i see him soon.. Then when i got back to my school i told him that i wished we had talked about us being together more, he said he didnt want to rush into a relationship becasue its only been two weeks since him and his past girlfriend broke up, but he said he knew bringing me back into his life and seeing me meant that he could see us getting back together he just isnt ready to dive back into something, THEN he has like texted me twice since that conversation... I dont know whats going on.. he said he just is catching up on school work and is stressed about midterms but idk it seems weird that right after this he diappears pretty much.. HELP PLEASE!!!
