Why is Bobby Jindal (Governor of Louisiana) all of a sudden the Republicans darling?

For the exactly the same reason that Michael Steel has suddenly appeared as the Chairman of RNC without a nomination and a vote. They think it shows their dedication to ethnic diversity. It is so transparent that it actually does the opposite and shows them up as even more racist.
